Solidworks

Last semester I made the conclusion that a lot of companies require the skill to work with Solidworks, also 3d printing and a lot of manufacturing proccesses require a solid model (instead of surface modelling) for example from Solidworks.

This is the reason I started with SolidWorks last semester by making a model of my Led Clock, however last semester, the work was mostly done by a fellow student, Jesse Meijers.

This semester I worked on tutorials and joined 2 workshop evenings, in which the possibilities of SolidWorks became clear to me. Also the speed in which I could design these products was impressing. Below I will show some renderings of my work during these tutorials and at last I will show the design of the LED clock in solidWorks.

First step, making a perfect sphere.

A glass shape on a table.
making a mold for a rugby ball or just any item.
 wrapping text on a object
add product properties to a complex shape
and finally the Led clock with the handle to adjust the alarm clock.
